Every time I post something about eating healthy, exercise or fitness, someone always has something to say about how I’m skinny and I shouldn’t care so much about my weight. I eat more bacon than anyone I know. I eat fried chicken at least once a week… I’m not worried about my weight. I know I’m skinny! I just want to be healthier! LET ME BE HEALTHIER!
Parents of children in Boy Scouts of America’s Pack 109 Speak Out In Support of Jennifer Tyrrell
Parent Robert Dunn: “I’m not a city person. I’m just a backwoods hick, and I don’t think anybody around here have an issue with homosexuals. She did a wonderful job, and what they did to her was just horrible. When I told my son Jen was kicked out because she is gay, he didn’t know what was wrong because he thought gay meant happy. He’s just devastated.”
Grandfather Don Thomas: “every cub scout meeting my grandson has attended, also to every function, community event, Salvation Army ringing bells, collection of food for the needy…etc. I do not know where you are getting your information, but never ever has sex been brought up, not in any way shape or form. In fact, I was not aware of Jen even being gay for quite some time…wasn’t an issue or concern.”
Said parent Crystal Sabinsky: ”The boys knew her as Tiger Leader Jen, not Gay Tiger Leader Jen. They are only first graders. Most don’t even understand what ‘gay’ or ‘lesbian’ mean.”
Said parent Patty Morgan: “It has been brought to my attention that BSA is now saying that the boys were being taught about sex and other inappropriate subject matter. Those accusations are not true at all. I have three children in Scouts. My youngest Jordan, was a Tiger scout with Jen. Jen has been a great leader in our scouting family. I trust her with my children completely. It is sad that she must be defended against false accusations like these!”
More than 130,000 people have signed the petition urging BSA to change their policy, but they continue to refuse to speak with Jenifer Tyrrell.
They released a statement to CNN today stating “Our focus is on delivering the nation’s foremost youth program of character development and values-based leadership training. Our mission does not include teaching young people about sex or sexual orientation, and we do not believe it is Scouting’s role to introduce this topic in our youth development program.”
Disgusting… BSA should be ASHAMED of themselves.

So I decided to do the Insanity work out. Damn that name doesn’t lie. I’m on day three and I woke up so sore today I couldn’t even attempt the 3rd DVD. But it’s the good kind of sore. I know my body is working hard.
I decided to do it because l’ve always wanted to have a sick body at some point in my life, even if it’s for a short time. It’s now or never. I’m 25, and it’s just going to get harder to achieve the longer I wait. I’m thin and always have been, I’m well aware of that. BUT I’m not toned by any sense of the word and feel terribly out of shape. So now is the time.
With this past month of not drinking I’ve been having some extra “free time” and have definitely found the self-control to stick to a plan and work it out.
Don’t you worry, this blog won’t turn into some sober health and fitness site. Lord knows I need my bacon and that I’m a gluttonous fool. But this is a new strange adventure for me for right now so… hang on for the ride.
