June 29th, I was invited to attend the amazing Miss Kitty Bradshaw’s 2nd annual Blogiversary. (www.KittyBradshaw.com)

I had such an great time.  Kitty is such a sweetheart and did a phenomenal job with the party practically on her own.  It inspires me so much when I go to things like this.  The blogging community is made of such a diverse group of people, and Kitty shows how hard work really pays off, because she puts everything into her blog.

I had the opportunity to meet some really great people also. I used to hate attending events like this alone. Most of my friends don’t have blogs, and if they do it’s not really a career choice for them lol, so they usually keep their distance from events like this. But once I get a few drink in me (TUMBLR Shout out! thanks to Kit from hellodrunky.tumblr.com behind the bar) I’m set to talk to some people. And it’s always so much fun to go home after an event like this and look up the blogs of all the people you met, see what other people are doing, what their site looks like, how it functions.  It’s a blog-nerd’s wet dream.

Event the spokespeople from the event’s sponsors were great to speak with.  And the sponsors were all so different and fun.  So quickly before I got farther.

(And you all know I hate doing long blog posts. With my ADD I wouldn’t even read them myself if I were you lol, but these are really interesting products, so stay tuned.)

Brief recap of the sponsors that I was able to interact with:

Tonnie’s Minis - Little bite-sized cupcakes that are delicious! And come in a bunch of great flavors. (Located at 123 and Lenox in Harlem) (tonniesminis.com)

Cabot Cheese - So they had this spread of cheeses out, and being the garbage disposal of food that I am, I decided to taste all of them over the course of the night. And really, my mind was blown. I started fantasizing about the different things I could make with these cheeses, seriously good, but yeah I have a problem lol. (cabotcheese.com)

Smart Box - Okay so I didn’t exactly understand this one at first, but now that I do, Getting these ALL THE TIME as gifts. It’s like a book that has all of these different things to do in it (separated by genre) and you buy it as a gift for someone, and they get to pick which of these experiences to do, and its FREE to them. So for instance it’s your favorite blogger Stevie’s Birthday (hint hint) and you know he loves food, so you buy him the Gourmet Retreat’s Smart Box for a set price, and then he gets to flip through the book and decides to go on this amazing bacon retreat as his gift. Amazing idea. Spoke to their spokeswoman Michelle (cutie) for about smart box and it’s nice to see when an employee has such heart for the product. (smartbox.com)

Smirnoff Vodka - We all already know this guy, but I was able to try some new flavors I’ve never seen before like Espresso and Passion Fruit.

MySkin - So this one was interesting for me, because I almost never use skin products. But what mySkin.com does is matches you to products that you’d like/would be good for you based on your skin type, age, and other products you use. So for me it’s great because since I don’t normally use skin products I don’t have a preference. So those times when I do break out or something comes up when I need to find a product, mySkin can help me decide what would work best.  Really great tool. And I spoke to their spokesperson Holly for a bit (super sweetie) and she was super informative about the technology and thought process behind mySkin.com

Nina Shoes- Times like this I wish I were a woman.  These shoes were really phenomenal, and at a great price. Some very different styles that I’ve never seen before, and my FAVORITE part is that you can create custom shoes to match your personality online at www.NinaShoes.com

Apart - So the event was held in the Apart showrooms on W 28th street (beautiful space) and the event was decorated by mannequins wearing some of the Apart designs.  I have to say that this will be an up and coming brand. Very fashion forward, but still wearable by the everyday woman.  Loved the pieces that were around the event. And got a sneak peak at what’s coming soon.  Definitely check back here ladies (apartstyle.com)

All in all, fantastic event Kitty, you should be proud. Very glad I was able to be a part of it.  Can’t wait ‘til next year ;)
