I love my mom so much.

She’s smart, funny, caring, and would do anything for me and my sister.

Both of my parents would give their last dollar to me or my sister. And in many cases they probably have.

I’m truely blessed to have them in my life.

I know no matter what I do wrong they would be there for me to help pick up the pieces and make me feel like everything is okay.

I think this is why I really want to try to do things for homeless youth lately. I can’t imagine not having them as my support system, and want to help those who weren’t nesecarily as luck as I am. Everyone needs something there for them as they grow up and develop. Whether It’s a parent, friend, or community. It’s so important.

Truely appreciating what I’ve got today.

I think NYC can definitely be a place for romance. It’s just more of a challenge to find these days.

Today’s world of Grindr, online dating, and facebook makes it so easy to “hook up” with people, that it makes it harder to find the people with substance. The good guys get jaded easily and then “don’t date” because they are afraid of what they will find.

The romance is out there, believe me.

And think of how much more satisfying it will be once you actually find it.

Whatever doesn’t kill us makes us stronger right?

That’s why NYC boys are the toughest. :D

The amazing Airline (Jujubee from RuPaul’s Drag Race) and myself last night.

Last Night:

Met up at barracuda with Michael who is up visiting from FL, with his two friends Dennis and Tara. Then Ross (welcomeToRoss) came to join us while we watched Ms. Britney Houston’s Wednesday night show.

And let me tell you, it was pretty amazing. She was totally fabulous, completely hilarious, and I already want to go back and become her best friend lol.

Then the amazing Airline (JujuBee from RuPaul’s Drag Race) came to meet up with me for the first time.

He’s completely hilarious, and has a great positive energy.

Not long afterwards we were joined by some of Airline’s amazing friends. Had some really in depth conversations, good laughs, and an overall great time.

Oh P.S. we left Barracuda to try to hit up Splash around 2:30am… and did you know that place has a $15 cover on WEDNESDAY NIGHTS at almost 3am. We were like… yah, no way, sorry. (I hate covers) Let me go get a drink and tip your bartenders well! Any honestly, this is NYC I can walk down the street in any direction and find someplace free and fabulous.

Justice finally served for Constance McMillen:

Itawamba Agricultural High School in Mississippi denied Constance the right to bring her girlfriend to prom.

The ACLU intervened and ruled that the school could not forbid Constance from bringing the date of her choice. The school then cancelled prom completely and Constance faced harassment and alienation from her peers due to it. The ACLU sued the school district for violating civil rights and yesterday the case was finally settled. The district adopted a new non-discrimination and anti-harassment policy which covers both sexual orientation and gender identity, as well as agreeing to pay $35,000 in damages.

“I won’t ever get my prom back, but it’s worth it if it changes things at my school, “ Constance said.

This is a great step in the right direction, and a HUGE milestone that set’s some boundaries for the way LGBT youth can be treated.

We all owe Constance a great deal for standing up for herself.

We still have a long way to go. :)
